‘Eddington’, a recent Western black comedy written and directed by Ari Aster, can have its world premiere in the primary competitors on the 2025 Cannes Movie Competition. The movie is about to launch in cinemas on July 18, 2025. The movie’s official teaser launched on April 15.
Set in Could 2020, the story centres on a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Phoenix) and the mayor (Pascal) in Eddington, New Mexico, which escalates into native battle as neighbours flip in opposition to each other. Within the teaser, we see Emma Stone as Louise Cross, spouse of Joe Cross (performed by Joaquin Phoenix). Other than them, Austin Butler may also be seen as a captivating preacher.
