False video claims celebrities have been ‘paid’ by USAID to go to Ukraine

A video claiming that USAID, the US authorities’s essential abroad support company, has paid Hollywood celebrities tens of millions of {dollars} to go to Ukraine has gone viral on social media and has been amplified by high-profile accounts like Elon Musk.

Nevertheless, the clip just isn’t actual and has hallmarks of a Russian disinformation operation that the BBC has beforehand investigated.
