Enjoying the position of Belinda in Physician Who has been an “honour”, Varada says.

“Everybody’s heard of Physician Who, everybody is aware of of Physician Who, even for those who do not repeatedly watch it.

“It is so iconic and British, and it is such part of our tradition.”

Praising Ncuti Gatwa for the “power he brings to the position”, she describes him as inspiring to look at work and “an absolute pleasure” to work with.
